Job description

  • General Management:
  • Maintain overall quality standards for the EFL area at the centre
  • Oversee the management of the communication within the Academic team through regular meetings between teachers/ academic management and local support staff
  • Oversee the overall scheduling of the EFL programme as regards to FT teacher hours efficiency
     
  • People Management and Communication:
  • Manage the EFL teaching team effectively
  • Responsible for effective inter-departmental and intra-organisational communication
  • Liaise with the Nationwide Recruitment team regarding recruitment needs locally and from overseas; support and input into development of local staff.
     
  • Staff Development and Training:
  • Responsible for the professional development of teachers
  • Manage direct EFL Admin staff as assigned.
     
  • EFL Programme Management:
  • Responsible for effective delivery of all EFL courses and services connected to the centre(s)
  • Ensure that class opened as scheduled and cancellations and teacher changes are kept to minimum
  • Work with relevant departments to identify opportunities to enhance and add value to Apollo’s EFL programmes and services.
     
  • Reporting and Budgets:
  • Oversee accurate and timely monthly reports to the Centre Manager and others as relevant (e.g. to Recruitment team)
  • Managing teaching hours, teacher leave, and teacher efficiency
     
  • Teaching responsibility:
  • Deliver 130 teaching hours per quarter (approximately 10 hours/week)

Job Requirement:

  • Native English speaker
  • BA or MA’s degree
  • CELTA/Trinity TESOL or equivalent, DELTA/Trinity Diploma preferred
  • Clean police record and satisfactory references
  • At least 03 years experience, one of which should be in a senior position
  • Training and mentoring experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
  • Adaptable, flexible and cultural sensitive
  • Experience working in Asia and/or a developing country
