Which course should I take?
Apollo Education and Training International House Vietnam offers a variety of teacher training courses for current and potential teachers of English in our two teacher training centres in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Here’s some information to help you choose the right course for you:
CELTA: This Cambridge University moderated course is the most recognised English language teaching qualification in the world. We offer twelve full-time CELTA courses a year, lasting for four weeks, at our centres in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. If you have never taught before, or if you have been teaching for a while, but need a recognised qualification, then this is the course for you.
Part-time CELTA: The Part-time CELTA course gives the same qualification as the face-to-face CELTA, but it would suit those whose schedules mean that they can’t commit to a four-week intensive course. We run the online CELTA over 15 weeks, with 13 weeks of online-only work, and two one-week blocks of teaching practice at our centre in Ho Chi Minh City.
Distance Delta: Delta is a Cambridge diploma course designed for working teachers to progress their careers. There are three modules and Apollo Hanoi now runs Distance Delta Module 2. If you have been teaching for a while and would like to enhance your teaching skills and move forward in your EFL career, then this is the course for you.
Delta Module One Preparation course: This is a two-week, 30-hour course to prepare candidates for the Cambridge Delta Module One exam. It can be taken with or without Module One exam registration.
IH Certificate in Teaching Young Learners and Teenagers (IHCYLT): This is a four-week face-to-face course, moderated by Cambridge, combining input, written assignments and assessed teaching practice, designed to prepare teachers for the specific challenges of working with young learners and teenagers.
IH Certificate in Teaching Business English: This is a qualification from the International House World Organisation, designed for both new and experienced English teachers who wish to develop/extend their knowledge of Business English teaching.
